Regional Rail Project, Mindyarra Maintenance Centre

CPB Contractors is designing and constructing a new rail maintenance facility in Dubbo, NSW, as part of the Transport for NSW (TfNSW) Regional Rail Project. This project sees the introduction of a new rail fleet to replace existing XPT, Xplorer and Endeavour fleets for passengers travelling between Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane and regional centres. The maintenance facility, being delivered by CPB, will support the new rolling stock being delivered by Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles Sociedad Anónima (CAF), and will be operated by UGL Rail Services (UGL).

GOALS

WolfPeak provided sustainability management support to the project, working as part of the CPB Contractors delivery team to implement the project sustainability management system and meet sustainability requirements and targets. As part of this role, WolfPeak delivered the project’s Infrastructure Sustainability Design rating submission, achieving a ‘Leading’ rating score. The role involved working closely with key stakeholders, including consortium members and TfNSW, to achieve project sustainability objectives.
