Bongil Bongil National Park Fire Access and Fire Trail (FAFT) Upgrades

National Parks and Wildlife Service are in the process delivering a park specific fire trail network that is compliant with the FAFT Plan adopted under the NSW Rural Fires Act 1997 (RF Act), and the relevant NSW Fire Trail Standards. The FAFT plan for Bongil Bongil involved the upgrade of 2.7km of Strategic fire trail and 17.4km of Tactical fire trail with multiple culverts and 3 bridges.

GOALS

WolfPeak completed the environmental assessments for this project, working closely with NPWS to optimise the necessary turnaround and passing bays to avoid and minimise environmental impacts. This was one of the earlier FAFT assessments to be completed and has been used by NPWS as an example for future assessments.

TESTIMONIALS

WolfPeak are a choice team to work with. Led by Tim Stubbs, the team successfully won a bid for us to undertake a large re-development project for a community hub. WolfPeak continues to perform like champions, providing us leadership tact as we work together on rebuilding a strong foundation for the Mogo Local Aboriginal Land Council after the bushfires.
