Executive Director - Infrastructure & Environmental Assurance

Derek has worked in the environmental field since 2007, across projects in the infrastructure, remediation and manufacturing sectors. During that time, he has prepared and implemented environmental management plans and environmental assessments, managed compliance, overseen subcontractors and utilised a wide variety of monitoring techniques.

Derek has extensive first- hand experience in large, high-risk projects and their related effective control measures. He is conversant with NSW environmental legislation and recognized standards and is a certified and experienced Lead Environmental Auditor. Derek’s roles have also exposed him to a broad spectrum of stakeholders including contractors, community groups, government departments and consultants.

I love being part of a team that helps our clients with continual improvement. We are fortunate to be able to do this on some recently interesting projects from social infrastructure like museums, hospitals, schools and stadiums through to large industrials, energy generation and distribution, ports and intermodals, roads and rail. It provides access to fascinating works / places / people and really helps our clients help achieve their objectives, whilst providing positive outcomes for the community.
